Costa Rica Joicafe Natural Catuai
Bambu is one of the Alvarado family's first farms, named after the bamboo shoots that overgrow the region. It's location near the base Costa Rica's tallest peak, Chirripo, makes for fertile grounds for growing all manner of crops; this is where the Alvarado Sisters have laid the roots for their wet mill operation, growing slowly as they expand their trade in southern Costa Rica.
This particular coffee boasts exceptional sweetness, with a bold presence of fruity sugars and lively acidity. The coffee was shade fermented in the hills of Brunca for fifty days, developing further depth of flavor and brightness, which we have roasted to a light medium which preserves freshness and presence in the cup.
